Conceptual artist Ali Beletic’s Neon Primitivism series is a natural extension of her commitment to primitivist ideology and “bringing the party and the fun.” Inspired by ancient cultures and civilizations, these paintings mix the ultra mattes of her signature ceramic clay textures with vibrant charcoals, botanical dyes and untraditional pigments, juxtaposing glowing neons with primal gesture and celebrating the marriage of archaic and contemporary tradition, sensuality and artistic expression.
