There are two bundle options for the wood pieces shown.  Both of these pieces are made from alder.  The large alder heart handle tray is 18 ¼ x 12 x 1 ½” tall.  The floor of the tray is baltic birch.  The complementary alder desk box is 10″ x 8″ x 2 ¾” tall. 

A strikingly beautiful folk art style from the Tyrolean Alps.  It can feature stylized animals, birds, flowers and grapes but I’ve never seen an old piece with people.  Fascinating.  Color-wise the contrasting use of white and a more intense blue lends a richness to the toned reds, browns and black more commonly used.  Punctuated with dot edelweiss flowers this style resonates with techniques and color contrasts.
