Scripps of Miramar, and namesake of late La Jolla philanthropist from Seattle and Mr. Balentine is a son of Col. Arthur Balentine of San Diego and grandson of the late Thomas B. Reed of Maine, Speaker of the House of Representative years ago resident of Portland.
